Ties for Cellular Clay Blocks

We have developed an innovative range of wall ties for use with cellular clay blockwork, such as Porotherm, where the horizontal bed joints are just 1mm.

The range includes cavity wall ties for use with external brickwork, cavity wall ties for internal separating walls to Approved Document E and ties for connecting perimeter walls to internal walls.

Installation of the component parts of cavity wall ties in this range are phased which eliminates any danger of injury from wall ties projecting from a part-built cavity wall.

Ties for Windposts when used with Cellular Clay Blockwork

Ancon Windposts are designed to span vertically between floors to provide lateral support for panels of brickwork. A range of wall ties is available to suit Ancon windposts when used with an inner leaf of cellular clay blocks.

Ancon CCB-SPN
The CCB-SPN connects Ancon WP1/3 channel profile windposts to the inner cellular clay block leaf.

Ancon CCB-SNS
The CCB-SNS ties are used across Ancon WP2 angle shaped windposts installed in the inner leaf.

Head Restraints when used with Cellular Clay Blockwork

The Ancon FHR Head Restraint is used for restraining the top of internal walls or the internal leaf of a cavity wall. The two angles clamp the top of the wall and have 10mm diameter holes to suit M8 bolts. They are supplied with two holes in the longer angle to allow the restraint to fit 100mm and 140mm cellular clay blockwork as standard. Other lengths of FHR available to suit other block sizes if required.
