Ancon MDC Masonry Support System
An Ancon masonry support system has been installed on ‘The Lighthouse’: an attractive four-storey office development in Salford Quays.
‘The Lighthouse’ required stainless steel fixings to support a variety of architectural features including curved brickwork and large stone panels. Ancon, a specialist in the support and restraint of masonry cladding, engineered the most cost-effective configuration of fixings for the project. An Ancon MDC System was designed to suit the type of cladding, the masonry load and the cavity width at each support position.
The Ancon fixings were referenced, scheduled and delivered to site to suit the build programme of specialist subcontractor Keith Walton Brickwork Limited.
