Next week at Ecobuild, Ancon will once again exhibit new sustainable building products that simplify construction and minimise thermal bridging. In line with our continual product improvement strategy, we are extending our range of award-winning low thermal conductivity wall ties with the launch of the Teplo-BF. Comprising pultruded basalt fibres set in a resin matrix, with a thermal conductivity of just 0.7W/mK, the unique Teplo range virtually eliminates heat loss through thermal bridging in cavity wall construction. Providing the same thermal benefits as the original TeploTie, the new Teplo-BF features moulded safety ends that improve buildability and mortar bond strength, making it more user-friendly and suitable even in slow drying mortars. We will also feature an impressive display of our new Nexus soffit system - a high quality, lightweight, brick faced support system, easily installed without mechanical lifting - developed in partnership with cut-brick specialist Ibstock Kevington. Our newly extended range of insulated balcony connectors enables designers to maintain structural integrity without compromising on thermal efficiency. These thermal breaks have been proven through thermal modelling to eliminate the risk of condensation in various building types where junctions are assessed to BRE document IP1/06. The comprehensive range now includes carbon steel and stainless steel systems, for use at either concrete-to-concrete, steel-to-concrete or steel-to-steel interfaces. Read more...
