Welcome to the latest Ancon newsletter. This month we introduce our latest thermally efficient wall tie, the Teplo-L-Tie, which is suitable for surface fixing. Also on the agenda, is the release of our new reinforcing bar couplers brochure which features three new product ranges. 

Ancon extends the award-winning TeploTie range to accommodate surface fixing

Ancon's low thermal conductivity wall tie range has been extended to include the new Teplo-L-Tie. Like the original basalt fibre TeploTie, the Teplo-L minimises heat loss across an insulated cavity wall which is an essential consideration in low energy construction.

Unique to the Ancon Teplo-L-Tie, however, is an 'L' shaped stainless steel upstand, mechanically and chemically bonded to one end, which allows it to be securely tied to steel, timber, concrete and masonry using a range of standard fixings. Available to suit cavity widths up to 300mm, it is ideal for today's super-insulated building envelopes.

Coinciding with the launch is an extension to the original TeploTie range. These ties are now available for cavities up to 450mm. Our popular Wall Ties and Restraint Fixings brochure has been updated to reflect these additions. Download here or request a hard copy.

Ancon launches new UK & Ireland edition of Reinforcing Bar Couplers Brochure 

To coincide with the launch of three new reinforcement bar coupler systems, Ancon has published a new Reinforcing Bar Couplers brochure tailored specifically at its UK and Irish customers.

Launched at this year's Concrete Show, Ancon's new range includes the CARES approved Bartec Plus Parallel Thread Coupler system. Recently used in the prestigious Forth Replacement Crossing, Bartec Plus offers a full strength connection together with enhanced fatigue resistance.

Developed to cater for rebar tolerance and alignment issues in in-situ cast construction and also suitable for the precast sector, the new Ancon Grout Sleeve Coupler has been added to the new brochure. 

The final addition to the literature is the new high strength, corrosion resistant Ancon BT Stainless Steel Couplers range for applications where stainless steel reinforcement is used.

The brochure still features the well-established MBT mechanically bolted and TT tapered thread couplers.

Ancon launches CARES-approved reinforcing bar coupler system

Ancon confirms CE Marking Compliance as new deadline hits industry

For iPad devices only, Ancon has released an App based on our Ecobuild stand. The App is available to freely download from the App Store and also features leading brick manufacturer, Ibstock.

The Bartec-Plus Parallel Threaded Coupler System is the latest addition to Ancon’s comprehensive range of reinforcing bar couplers and has been awarded UK CARES Technical Approval TA1-A.

On 1st July 2014, the CE Marking of fabricated structural steelwork to BS EN 1090 became a legal requirement. Ancon is proud to offer the Industry a fully CE-compliant range.
