Ancon Lockable Dowels

The new ‘Lockable Dowel’ allows initial shrinkage of the concrete to take place and is then locked in position with a mechanical plate and a controlled amount of epoxy resin.

This dowel is designed for use at temporary movement joints, commonly used in post-tensioned concrete.

The locked dowel continues to transfer vertical load, but prevents further movement taking place.

Systems are available to suit slab joints and retaining / core walls.
