Astra Turm, Hamburg, Germany

An Ancon Tension System has been used to support a concrete ring weighing over 500 tonnes, which in turn is suspended above an 80 metre high office block.
Ancon Germany offered significant design assistance and supplied a 42mm Ancon Tension Bar System.
The project is now complete and the tower has become one of Hamburg's landmark buildings, with the suspended ring as its distinctive feature.
