Gothic Arch - Symons Street, Chelsea, UK
Gothic Arch
Ancon manufactured a special stainless steel Gothic Arch to restrain the natural stone cladding of a prestigious residential development in Chelsea.
The Symons Street Project was an unusual challenge for Haymills Contractors Limited as it involved working with an existing masonry façade as well as New Build. The new courtyard featured an arched window framed by natural stone.
Ancon provided technical advice at an early stage of the project and designed a Gothic Arch to meet the exacting specifications of the stonework. The company’s accuracy in both design and manufacture avoided any difficulties in the installation of the arch on site.
