Ancon at PRECAST 2013
Visitors to Ancon’s stand at PRECAST 2013 were able to discuss project requirements and new products with senior representatives from the company’s Products for Structural Concrete division. The early involvement of a specialist supplier like Ancon can provide cost and time savings and prove invaluable to the smooth running of a project. Contact us to discover how we can help.
Ancon specialises in the design and manufacture of high integrity steel fixings for masonry and concrete construction. Products which simplify the design of construction joints in both in-situ cast and precast concrete applications, providing fast product installation, were showcased at the exhibition. These include a comprehensive range of reinforcing bar couplers and reinforcement continuity systems.
New to the market is an anchor system that changes the way concrete slab-to-wall joints are constructed. Voted ‘Best Product in Show’ at the 2013 UK Concrete Show, the KSN Anchor creates high performance joints quickly and more safely than re-bend continuity boxes or coupler-based solutions which involve either rebar straightening or awkward anchorage lengths in the wall. The internally-threaded anchors are simply cast into the wall and, during construction of the adjoining slab, accept continuation bars prepared with a Bartec parallel-thread.
PRECAST 2013, organised by British Precast, brings together the industry for a day of seminars, safety demonstrations, an awards lunch, exhibition and the British Precast AGM.
