Ancon Awarded Prestigious ‘BuildingConfidence’ Accreditation
ANCON has been awarded the construction industry’s highest accolade for supplier excellence, the BuildingConfidence accreditation.
Assessed by leading supply chain specialist, Achilles, BuildingConfidence is fast becoming the industry’s most trusted pre-qualification scheme. It enables construction buyers to identify suppliers which meet the standards required for their projects.
Ancon’s accreditation was confirmed following a thorough and independent audit of its business operations. A skilled auditor from Achilles examined Ancon’s health and safety procedures, quality management, environmental performance, employee development plans, CSR credentials, ethical policies and corporate governance.
Ancon’s Managing Director, Stuart Maxwell, says:
We are delighted Achilles has recognised our high performance standards. The independent audit resulted in our accreditation without a single non-compliance issue. It means our customers will no longer have to carry out individual pre-qualification assessments of Ancon, saving valuable time and money in the procurement process. It will also provide additional peace of mind to new clients.
As an accredited company, Ancon is an approved supplier to all companies using the BuildingConfidence scheme, including Balfour Beatty, Shepherd Construction, Robert McAlpine, Lend Lease and Kier.
The award is the latest addition to Ancon’s growing portfolio of internationally recognised accreditations. The company’s UK operations have already achieved OHSAS 18001 certification for its health and safety systems, ISO 9001 for its quality management and ISO 14001 for its environmental management systems.
Annabelle Wilson, Ancon’s Marketing Manager, says:
Accreditations which are recognised and valued by the Industry, like BuildingConfidence and the ISO portfolio, are important to Ancon. They offer clients an independent analysis of our business which helps to differentiate Ancon from other construction product manufacturers. The assessment process also provides Ancon with an opportunity to benchmark its operations against other suppliers, both inside and outside the Construction sector, to ensure we continue to deliver a world class service that goes far beyond the minimum entry level requirements.
