CPA Celebrates Ancon’s Innovative ‘Lockable Dowel’

Ancon has been celebrated by the Construction Products Association for the launch of its innovative ‘Lockable Dowel’, in the 2008 edition of Construction Products Innovation and Achievement (CPIA).

The Ancon Lockable Dowel has been recognised in the category of ‘Improvements in Site Efficiency’. It is one of only 24 products to be chosen for this publication which annually showcases the most innovative products and processes created for the construction industry during the previous twelve months.

Stuart Maxwell, Ancon’s Managing Director, said,
“The Lockable Dowel is the fourth Ancon product to be featured in this annual publication. We are very pleased to have been recognised once again by the CPA for our innovative thinking.”

“This product was developed for use at temporary movement joints in concrete. It is unique. No other dowel can be locked after an initial phase of movement and continues to transfer a shear load.”
