Leviat's Innovation Shines in Shortlisted Projects at Brick Awards

World-leading engineered connections specialist, Leviat, has made a significant impact on the architectural landscape with its innovative solutions playing a key part in the success of nine shortlisted projects at the 48th Annual Brick Awards, the longest and most widely respected design and construction awards in the UK.

Held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in November and run by the Brick Development Association, the Brick Awards celebrate the best examples of clay brick in the UK built environment, and around the world.  Each year, they attract and showcase 350 exemplary projects across 18 different categories.

Headline Sponsor Leviat is delighted to be involved in nine shortlisted projects, having supplied façade support and restraint products such as its bespoke Ancon MDC Masonry Support System into a number of projects:

Large Housing Development

  • Oval Village, 275 Kennington Lane (Plot A & G), London
  • Royal Eden Docks Phase 2, London
  • Brabazon, Bristol

Medium Housing Development

These buildings clearly demonstrate the craftsmanship and design excellence that can be achieved in brick – one of our oldest and most durable building materials. You can explore all of the shortlisted projects here.

Leviat will also have the honour of announcing the winner of the Large Housing Development 2024 and personally presenting the award to the team behind the project. This category invites entries from leading housing developers, construction firms, architectural practices and housing associations for major new build private and public sector residential developments that have been completed in the UK over the past two years.

Commenting on the award’s success, Lisa Sherburne-Kilby, Leviat's Commercial Operations Director, Masonry said: “We are thrilled to see our innovative solutions play a crucial role in so many shortlisted projects. This recognition underscores Leviat’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in brick construction. Our high-performance fixing and support solutions have not only made many of these buildings possible but have also contributed to raising the profile of brickwork in modern architecture.”

Leviat will join an audience of around 600 top industry figures, including brick manufacturers, specialist brickwork contractors, shortlisted entrants and clients, and other industry decision makers and influencers, at the 2024 Awards ceremony, being held this year on Wednesday 6th November at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, Lancaster Gate, London.

In the lead-up to the awards ceremony, Leviat will be spotlighting a few of the shortlisted projects in detail on its LinkedIn channel, Leviat in the UK and Ireland.
